The USDA's December dairy report says US dairy exports rose in August to October, with butter exports up nearly 50% year on year. Nonfat dry milk and dry whey prices have risen, lifting US producer milk prices from their May low, although the all-milk price fell 70 cents from September to October.
Stronger export demand for butter and ingredients supports US milk prices, though the October dip shows domestic butter and cheese prices remain volatile.
