Australian canola trades near AUD 530 per tonne delivered port, with a reported AUD 14 per tonne rise in international prices early in the week. Oil World warned Canadian canola output may fall below 18 million tonnes, a three-year low, versus USDA's 20.5 million tonne projection, amid dry conditions in Canada and Australia.
A smaller Canadian crop tightens exportable canola supply and supports oilseed meal prices, while expected EU and Black Sea recovery may offset some pressure later. Canola premiums to soybeans at historic highs may also shift demand toward other feeds.
