FAO's Crop Prospects and Food Situation report says robust Latin American harvests and recovering Southern African conditions are improving the global food supply outlook, with record cereal output expected in several countries. It also says 37 countries need external food assistance, and that conflict and weather shocks continue to hit food security.
Expectations of record cereal output and strong Latin American harvests point to ample grain supplies, which is mildly bearish for feed grain prices. Conflict-related demand from food-insecure countries has limited effect on world feed markets.
