The US dollar index and the 10-year Treasury yield both broke above levels that had acted as resistance. The 10-year yield then pulled back from seven-month highs after reports that President Trump would pick a relatively hawkish Fed chair.
A stronger dollar and higher rates weigh on dollar-denominated commodity prices and emerging-market demand, while supporting financial stocks. For feed buyers, a firmer dollar tends to pressure grain and oilseed prices at the margin.
