The National Biodiesel Board said it was disappointed EPA kept 2018 biomass-based diesel obligations flat at 2.1 billion gallons. NBB said the advanced biofuels level of 4.29 billion gallons effectively cuts biodiesel demand by 67 million gallons in 2018.
A 67 million gallon implied cut in biodiesel demand reduces domestic soybean oil use, which is bearish for soyoil and supports more oil going to food or export markets.
