DTN meteorologist Bryce Anderson reports that central Brazil has received 4 to 8 inches of rain from late November into early December, with planting nearly done in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Goias. He notes that a weak La Niña could still reduce southern Brazil and Argentina yields.
Favorable central Brazil conditions point to a large soybean and safrinha corn crop, which limits upside in soy and corn prices despite southern risks.
