EIA reported that US biodiesel production through the first nine months of 2017 was slightly above 2016 levels despite the expired blender's tax credit. It said production may keep rising due to new Commerce import duties on Argentina and Indonesia.
Rising domestic biodiesel output supports soybean oil use, and tighter import policy shifts supply toward domestic producers, which is supportive for soybean oil.
