The American Soybean Association marked the 10th anniversary of biodiesel in the Renewable Fuel Standard. It noted biodiesel used over 5 billion pounds of soybean oil in 2015 and said ASA will keep pressing EPA for higher biomass-based diesel volumes.
Biodiesel already takes over a quarter of US soybean oil use, so the sector's growth path and any future volume increases directly shape soybean oil demand and prices.
