POET's Vital publication argues the RFS remains necessary a decade after its expansion, citing more than 19 billion gallons of renewable fuel output and about 400,000 jobs. It says critics attack the policy as based on faulty fuel demand projections.
It is an opinion piece defending the RFS, so it signals continued support for corn ethanol and soybean biodiesel demand but does not change supply or price directly.
