Western Livestock Journal reports that US-Canada cattle and beef trade is worth hundreds of millions of dollars annually and could be disrupted by NAFTA renegotiation uncertainty. Trucking difficulties at the border are also cited as a concern for cattle movements.
Any NAFTA disruption or border trucking delay could reduce cattle and beef flows between the two countries, creating regional price spreads for feeder and live cattle.
