University of Illinois Extension agronomist Emerson Nafziger reports that corn and soybeans in Illinois look good with little yield potential lost so far. Corn is growing quickly on above-average growing degree days and is approaching tasseling.
He says the next few weeks will determine whether crops are average or very good.
