Following a July 25 Trump-Juncker meeting, the U.S. and EU agreed to work toward zero industrial tariffs, pausing a tariff escalation. The extra EU duty further restricts U.S. rice export access, keeping demand for U.S. rice weak, though the broader trade truce modestly lowers tail risk.
