Oil World forecasts major canola and rapeseed exporters will ship 17.35 million tonnes in 2018/19, up 7%, as China boosts rapeseed purchases to offset lower soybean imports. World rapeseed and canola production is forecast to fall to 65.17 million tonnes, and EU rapeseed output is seen at a seven-year low of 19.5 million tonnes.
Rising Chinese rapeseed demand and tighter world and EU rapeseed supply support canola meal and oil prices, while lower world stocks reinforce firm pricing.
