U.S. soybean shipments to China continued despite the 25% tariff. The Star Jennifer became the second cargo of U.S. beans to dock in China since the tariff took effect, carrying about 700,000 tons.
Shipping data showed buyers resumed some purchases after a three-week pause.
Resumed buying shows Chinese importers are still taking U.S. beans at a markup, which partly offsets the tariff's demand loss. Supply tightness in Brazil could keep demand for U.S. beans alive.
