Sunflower crush-plant prices fell 5 cents to unchanged last week. USDA's September report showed US sunflower planted area down 8% from 2017 at 1.29 million acres, and USDA raised soybean ending stocks to 845 million bushels, above trade expectations.
Bigger soybean stocks and China's plan to cut meal imports weigh on soybean complex prices, which pressures sunflower and other oilseed meal values, while tight sunflower carryout could support seed prices later.
