African swine fever cases in China have risen to 13 outbreaks, spanning northeast and east provinces, with the first case confirmed in Shenyang on Aug. 1.
The disease has caused panic in the hog industry and among consumers.
Lower hog numbers from the disease would reduce feed demand and soybean meal imports into China, a bearish factor for soybeans and meal.
