The ECB left its benchmark rates unchanged on Thursday and kept its stimulus exit timetable. ECB President Mario Draghi said underlying inflation should pick up toward the end of 2018, and the euro rose versus the dollar.
A firmer euro on hawkish-leaning ECB signals makes dollar-priced commodities relatively more expensive in euros, which can soften U.S. export demand at the margin.
