Snow and lodging in US wheat fields, plus dryness concerns in Europe and Russia, pushed futures higher over the past week, mainly driven by fund activity. Physical grain prices rose only slightly, and traders remain unconvinced of lasting losses.
Weather-driven fund buying lifts futures more than physical supply, so the price rally may fade if crop losses prove limited.
