India's Commerce Secretary met China's customs authority (GACC) in Beijing on January 21-22, 2019 to press for market access for Indian agricultural products. Progress cited includes approval of six Indian mills to export rapeseed meal to China and a fishmeal and fish oil protocol, with soybean meal protocols at an advanced stage.
Expanded access for Indian rapeseed meal, soybean meal and fishmeal into China would add supply to those protein meal markets and could soften prices for feed buyers.
