Statistics Canada's fall crop survey shows national canola output down 8.3% to 18.6 million tonnes, its lowest since 2015, with Saskatchewan and Alberta both lower. Wheat, barley and oat production rose nationally.
A smaller canola crop tightens supply of canola meal for feed, supporting its price, while larger barley and oat supplies weigh on those feed grains.
