The DOE/EIA weekly retail diesel price rose 8.8 cents to $3.897 per gallon, the highest since July 2024, extending a seven-week climb. ULSD futures settled at $3.1869 per gallon on Tuesday, up 28.65 cents in one session, as the war drove futures higher.
Fuel surcharge benchmarks will keep climbing as retail catches up with futures, raising trucking and feed delivery costs for buyers.
