US LNG liquefaction plants are running near record feedgas levels of about 9.3 Bcf/d despite record-low Asian LNG prices. JKM for March fell to $3.512/MMBtu, the lowest since assessments began in 2009, and US Gulf Coast netbacks dipped below zero.
Strong US LNG export flows show that gas demand remains firm even with a global price slump, which limits downside in US gas prices. Feed costs are only indirectly affected.
