USDA's June WASDE report lowered 2019/20 corn production by 45 million bushels and cut corn-for-ethanol use by 50 million bushels, leaving old-crop stocks at 2.103 billion bushels. Soybean new-crop ending stocks fell 10 million bushels to 395 million, while global wheat stocks rose to a record 11.6 billion bushels.
Lower soybean carryout supports soybean and soymeal prices for feed buyers, while record global wheat stocks are bearish for wheat and wheat-based feed ingredients. Corn futures rose modestly after the report on the tighter balance.
