Nutrien Ag Solutions meteorologist Eric Snodgrass said several small dry pockets remain a concern in Midwest crop development. He pointed to a dry area west of Des Moines in Iowa that could cause yield loss if it does not receive rain.
Thunderstorm activity has missed some drier fields in Missouri and Ohio.
