Ethanol output rose 5,000 barrels per day to a 931,000 b/d average in the week ending August 21, 2020, a three-week high. DDGS output rose 0.5% for the week but remained 11,403 MT below a year earlier.
Ethanol production was 10% below last year's levels.
Higher ethanol output lifts corn grind by about 74,000 bushels per day and adds DDGS supply to feed markets. Output still trails last year, so the net effect on feed prices is modest.
