Indian agricultural exports rose 23% in April to June compared with a year earlier, driven by non-basmati rice and sugar. Refined sugar added Rs 1,719 crore and raw sugar Rs 448 crore in value terms.
Soymeal exports fell 14% and tea fell 27%.
Stronger Indian rice and sugar export demand supports world rice prices, while the decline in soymeal exports slightly reduces Indian supply to the feed market.
