The Daily Market Wire from October 1 reports sharp overnight gains in Chicago, Kansas, and Minneapolis wheat, corn, and soybeans after USDA's stocks and production reports came in well outside expectations. USDA put September 1 corn stocks at 1.99 billion bushels against a 2.25 billion trade estimate, and soybean stocks at 523 million against 576 million expected.
Stocks well below trade expectations across corn, soybeans, and wheat support prices for all three grains.
