USDA estimates U.S. soybean ending stocks at 290 million bushels, 6.4% of annual use and the tightest in five years. Cash soybean prices reached $10.53 a bushel, the highest in over four years, and U.S. export commitments hit 81% of USDA's estimate.
Brazil's ending stocks are projected at only 82 million bushels.
Tight U.S. and Brazilian stocks suggest limited supply cushion for feed buyers, supporting higher soybean and meal prices if exports keep pace or weather disrupts South American crops.
