OCP North America, a subsidiary of Morocco's OCP S.A., launched a website opposing US import duties on phosphate fertilizers from Morocco and Russia. The duties were imposed preliminarily by the US Department of Commerce after a trade petition by Mosaic, which controls over 70% of the US phosphate fertilizer market.
Preliminary duties above 70% restrict low-cost phosphate imports, tightening US supply and supporting domestic DAP and TSP prices that feed-related farm inputs depend on.
