India's Department of Fertilizers reported June 2021 average international fertilizer prices. Urea FOB rose about 79% year on year to $413/t, DAP CFR rose 83% to $580/t, and ammonia CFR rose 151% to $548/t.
Sulphur and phosphoric acid also posted large gains.
Official confirmation of sharply higher nitrogen and phosphate import costs reinforces expectations of expensive fertilizer for the coming crop cycle, squeezing feed grain and oilseed producer margins.
