Reuters reports that US grain exports fell as Gulf Coast terminals struggled to recover from Hurricane Ida. Soybean inspections rose only slightly from a seven-year low, and just one large bulk ship bound for China was loaded in the Pacific Northwest, with none at the Gulf.
Constrained US export capacity during peak season shifts demand to other origins and builds US stocks, which is bearish for US soybean and corn prices.
