US soybeans rose on commercial and technical buying, with China buying 132,000 tons and unknown destinations 722,750 tons of 2021/22 beans for a weekly total of 1.51 million tons. NOPA reported September crush of 153.8 million bushels.
Corn finished modestly lower despite exports topping a million tons for a second week.
Steady export sales and strong crush support soybean, meal and oil prices. Talk of fertilizer shortages shifting acres from corn to soybeans could also tighten soybean supply.
