China's state planner has pledged to guarantee energy supply to fertiliser makers. Urea futures in China hit records this year as high coal and gas prices and energy-project curbs tightened local supply.
A guaranteed energy supply should allow Chinese urea output to recover, adding supply to a tight global market and easing upward price pressure.
