Oklahoma State extension economist Derrell Peel reports US beef exports hit a record pace, up 8.1% in November and 18.5% year to date through November. China/Hong Kong is the fastest-growing market, up 110% year to date, while beef imports were mixed.
Strong export demand, especially from China, supports wholesale beef and cattle values, which underpins cattle prices and feeding margins.
