Indonesia's export ban was clarified to cover only RBD olein, leaving crude palm oil outside its scope. Malaysian benchmark crude palm futures fell 2.09% after the news, having earlier jumped nearly 7% to a six-week high.
Exempting crude palm oil eased fears of a broad supply cut, which pulled futures back and reduced the immediate price support from the ban.
