The US dollar index fell about 1.8% after October US CPI rose 0.4% month-on-month, below the 0.6% consensus, with annual inflation easing to 7.7%. The peso rose from above 19.50 to 19.35 and was near 19.40 ahead of a Banxico decision expected to deliver a 75 basis point hike.
Equities rallied sharply on the data.
