The November Cattle on Feed report showed fewer cattle on feed than a year earlier and October feeder placements 6% below last year, the smallest October placements in 26 years. Cash cattle traded at a new high for the year near $153 per cwt.
Tighter feeder supply and lighter placements support fed cattle and feeder cattle prices into the coming months.
