The EIA national average on-highway diesel fell 4.7 cents to $4.59 a gallon in the week ending September 25, the first decline in 11 weeks. California remains above $6 a gallon, and the Gulf Coast saw the largest regional drop.
Lower retail diesel eases trucking cost pressure on feed deliveries, though West Coast prices remain very high.
