Indonesia will launch its crude palm oil futures exchange on October 13, according to the report. Authorities had earlier planned to require all CPO exports to trade through the exchange to create regional benchmarks similar to Kuala Lumpur and Rotterdam.
The planned export requirement could have shifted how Indonesian palm supply is priced and sold, creating uncertainty for vegetable oil buyers.
