The Solvent Extractors' Association of India urged the government not to extend its ban on de-oiled rice bran exports beyond November end. The association says exports are under 10% of production and that the ban could hurt paddy farmers and damage India's export market position.
If the ban is extended, supply of de-oiled rice bran to Asian feed markets would stay restricted, supporting prices for rice-bran meal substitutes; if lifted, extra supply would be a mild bearish factor.
