CIH viewed the March WASDE as relatively neutral for corn, soybeans and wheat because balance sheets matched expectations. USDA lowered the 2023/24 corn season-average farm price to $4.75 per bushel and trimmed global corn ending stocks to 319.63 million tonnes, the highest since 2018/19.
Neutral domestic balance sheets and record Brazil and Argentina corn output keep feed grain prices capped, with attention shifting to the March 28 Prospective Plantings report.
