WTI settled at $82.69 and Brent at $87.29 after falling more than 3% as traders discounted the risk of a wider Israel-Iran war. Analysts said Israel's restraint and the lack of supply disruption were unwinding the war premium.
Dropping the war premium lowers crude prices and related energy costs for feed producers. The move reverses the earlier geopolitical risk spike without any actual supply loss.
