US rough rice stocks on August 1, 2024 were 32.433 million hundredweight, up 34% from a year earlier, driven by higher production and larger old-crop ending stocks. Milled rice stocks were 4.844 million hundredweight, up 15% on the year.
Much larger US rice supplies weigh on domestic rough rice prices and reduce the need for imports.
