CBOT corn, wheat and soybeans rose on January 29 as traders weighed a possible 25% US tariff on Canadian and Mexican imports due February 1. Corn hit a 15-month high, wheat a 6-week high and soybeans a six-month high amid Brazilian planting and harvest delays.
Argentine drought also weighs on the South American crop outlook.
Tariff uncertainty and South American weather delays are lifting grain futures, and buyers face higher feed costs if the Brazil and Argentina supply shortfalls persist.
