Freeport LNG's Texas export plant was on track to exit an outage on Wednesday, according to LSEG data. US gas prices rose about 4% as flows to the plant recovered, after falling about 3% on the prior day when flows dropped.
European prices typically move the opposite way when Freeport's supply changes.
Restored LNG export demand tightens the US gas balance and supports domestic gas prices, which feed into fertilizer and energy input costs.
