India's 2 million tonne urea tender closes July 7 for shipment by August 22, and Iran and Egypt have resumed production. Iranian urea is offered at about USD 420/tonne FOB, but bids are below USD 400, and Egyptian granular has sold at up to USD 460.
China may release another 2 million tonnes.
The tender price will show whether urea has peaked, since current prices look high against grain values. Additional Chinese volumes could trigger a price correction, while buyers in India and Brazil face affordability pressure.
