Oil prices settled higher after OPEC+ approved a modest 137,000 bpd production increase for October. That increase is much smaller than the earlier monthly hikes of about 555,000 bpd and 411,000 bpd.
Analysts expect limited supply impact because some members are already over-producing, so the barrels are largely in the market already. The prices rose as the smaller hike eased concerns about a glut.
