The EIA raised its 2025 Henry Hub spot price forecast to $3.56 per mmBtu in its December STEO, up from $3.47. It slightly cut its 2026 forecast to $4.01 from $4.02, and said the early-December cold snap is pushing prices up through the winter heating season.
The upgraded winter outlook signals firmer US gas costs for nitrogen fertilizer and feed processing in the near term.
