USDA's January 12 supply and demand report raised 2025-26 US corn production to 17 billion bushels and ending stocks by 198 million bushels to 2.2 billion. The season-average corn price was lifted by a dime to $4.10 per bushel.
Global corn stocks were also increased by 11.8 million tons.
Higher US and global corn stocks signal ample supply and pressure on feed grain prices, particularly for feed buyers facing a large domestic and international surplus.
