The EIA national average diesel price fell 16.4 cents to $4.668 a gallon for the week of June 29, the eighth consecutive weekly decline. The prior week's drop was 22.7 cents, ending a 14-week run above $5.00.
Lower diesel prices reduce fuel surcharges and trucking costs for feed ingredients, though the decline is chasing wholesale moves.
